Klaus Meerholz is full professor at the University of Cologne. He obtained his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Freiburg in 1991. He was postdoc at SUNY Buffalo and at the Optical Sciences Center, University of Arizona (1992-1995). In 1995 he moved to the LMU Munich, where he did his habilitation, receiving the venia legendi in 1998. During 1998-2001 he held a temporal Assistant Professor position at LMU, before becoming full professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Colgne in 2002. He has published 300+ papers on organic electrochemistry, photorefractive polymers for optical data processing, crosslinkable semiconductors for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and organic solar cells.
